AUGUSTA, Ga. — Matt Jones can’t miss.

The 33-year-old Australian aced the 90-yard third hole at the Masters Par 3 Contest late Wednesday afternoon, three days after chipping in to beat Matt Kuchar in a sudden-death playoff at the Shell Houston Open.

“You can’t keep it out of the hole,” said Jimmy Walker, playing in the group behind Jones, who was addressing his ball on the fourth tee.

“It was lucky,” Jones said, backing off. After taking no time over the ball, he swung and watched as his ball drifted right into a greenside bunker.

“You can make that,” playing partner Graham DeLaet said.

Jones: “I’ll have fun trying.”
